Fertigation Equipment Supplier

Are you looking for a fertigation equipment supplier? If you are operating a large trek of land and have difficulty managing maintenance, you’ve probably looked into fertigation for help. Most likely you have found that the statistics are more than convincing of our effectiveness. Fertigation has proven to save the land and revive companies in the past, and we will continue this trend now. Whether you’re in the market for fertigation or you want to understand it deeper before diving in, we can help! We install fertigation systems as well as manufacture our own models. Each of them is dedicated to particular regions or landscapes and they have a variety of modifications available. We’ll go over some of them below so you can get a better idea of what is available.

An Overview Of Fertigation

When it comes to maintaining crops, the traditional method is to place fertilizer upon the soil and then water the ground thoroughly. However, research has shown that this causes adverse effects. First of all, when the water hits the ground, a majority of it will flow deeper into the soil beyond the root zone. That means the plant will only receive a fraction of the water used. This is a natural result of gravity and the density of soil, however, it also takes some of the fertilizer with it when it happens. Studies claim up to 50% of the water and nutrients provided to the plant are lost through runoff.

Over time this damages the soil and makes it infertile. The result is an unstable growth cycle that the plants cannot rely on. Through erosion and wear, the fields will eventually start to deteriorate. This is seen all across the board. In golf courses, ranches, rural farms, and even sports fields. With those old fertilization systems in place, you’ll start to notice the effects. All those ugly patches of dirt and yellow grass will start becoming more and more prevalent.

When we apply fertigation, this decay is halted entirely. That is because the fault was in the method of application. When you separate the nutrients and the water, there is a gap that allows inefficiencies to arise. Instead, fertigation blends the fertilizer with the irrigation line. By adding a nutrient-rich solution to the water, we are activating the compounds that the plant needs before even watering the plants.

Since water is absorbed by the plant immediately, it doesn’t have to sit in the soil to facilitate the fertilizers and therefore is not lost to runoff. This bypasses the need to do two separate cycles and increases the retention and absorption rates of the plants as a result.

What Kind Of Fertigators Do We Supply?

The potential fertigation equipment that you may need is dependent upon the type of landscape. We have particular units for golf-courses, large horticulture sites, and also other fields for sports and parks. This is due to experience in the field, we have found the proper methods for each scenario. Thus, all of our mechanisms have full control in their respective region.

The term fertigator refers to the application of a unique fertilizer pump to the irrigation line. In order to infiltrate the irrigation system, we have to add fertilizer injectors and PH readers to maintain balance within each system as well. This module, coupled with a regulator for the water pump and injection rates will make up what we call the fertigator.

Each pump has a specific ability depending on the type of field it regards. For example, we have options that can release 6 gallons per hour, and pumps that are large enough to release 300 gallons on the hour, every hour. The owners will also have access to coordinate the injection rates with a 0-100% scale. However, the owner will more than likely give out a suggested rate for each season, this is derived from exact tests and experience in the field from past work.

Turf Feeding Systems Inc. boasts 11 fully functioning fertigators available. The categories that separate them consist of golf courses, landscape & sports fields, and agriculture/horticulture. Installation for the module will be on site by one of our own personnel for assurance.
