Rainy periods happen on any golf course, and will wash out any dry fertilizer applied.
You have seen or experienced this after a full dry fertilizer application and sadly the course is so green you need to mow the fairways every two day and all the fertilizer is gone.
Fertilizer injection does not store fertilizer in the soil like dry. It applies nutrients with each irrigation. So when the rain comes, you just turn off the irrigation and the fertilizer stays safe in the tank.
After the rain and the course dries, you can resume irrigating and fertigating. You may want to turn it up for a couple of cycles to boost the color, but you have not lost any fertilizer.
